    is this possible? doesnt work for me in 2013..

    It works fine if you enable the "show realistic material in viewport" button for the light material (and you must be using Nitrous for that).

      hmm. when i try that it just becomes invisible in the viewport.

        When using textures in the light material, you have to turn the color swatch next to it to black. Then you can see the texture.

          Thanks Oliver that worked a treat.. but -only- with the standard "show shaded material in viewport" not the "show realistic materials" one, -that still comes out invisible.

              Switching from 'Shaded' viewport to 'Consistent Colors' works fine for me, just don't forget to unable the map in viewport
