  • Is it possible to get VRayLightselect on matte objects?

I am trying to setup a scene where I can render the BG once then set it to Matte and render a whole bunch of objects.
But when it is Matte i no longer get my LightSelect pass for light falling on the BG. Is this even possible?

    Thanks

Hm. So would you get the shadow on the matte object? Or the lighting? Normally people want matte objects to just stay black in all channels.

    Best regards,

Yes Vlado, I'm trying to cheat a bit.
I want it in the Light select as the titles we have have lights in them that I want to cast light onto the floor.
So I would want as per Vray Properties In the Direct light options. Like the check box for Shadow, one for Light and Specular, so the Light Select can carry that info.
I wanted to see if I could cut down on rendering the BG every time we render a new title, as they are in a concrete infinity curve.
