Hello,
I 've tried the vray advanced demo and want to purchase it, but I want to know how many machines it can be installed onto...Anyone know what the $799 gets you?

as with most software you can "work" with it on 1 machine and similar to 3dsmax just install on your render slaves and I think its unlimited for normal net render but there is a limit for DR. Check your licence agreement and it should explain everything. Or email Chaosgroup and they will prob be able to explain it better or find a solution that fits your needs.

Got answer from VRay team

Thank you for reading this post, I emailed VRay and here's part of their answer...

"Once you
download, install and authorize VRay on one of your machines, you will
be able to: 1. run the standard Max network rendering mode on an
UNLIMITED number of machines; 2. to work in the distributed rendering
mode of the VRay Advanced package on up to 10 computers (Note that it
is counted per machine, NOT per CPU).
