  • Latest Manual?

Just a quick question from The Long Lost 586 - is the latest manual the one that's available in the support section of vrayrender.com?

    Thanks!

P.S. Greets to everyone who remembers me

Hi Keith! good to see you around

The latest manual is a html link at the bottom of the download page not the pdf on the Docs page. It is very complete and pretty up to date.

I didn't see a link for the manual at the download page. Just the zip file on the docs page. Is there a more current one available?

Welcome back keith! This forum is not the same without you

Yeah, to be honest I miss some details in the manual too, specially DR as I am trying to implement it at the office. I know, I could search the forum to look for the answers, but I really have no time n ow nor in the next 4 weeks... So a good help would be great to all us. I think maybe Chaos could hire somebody for one month specially to take care of this, putting some tutorials and improving the examples, what do you think guys?
                Just a suggestion, anyway

                Joao.

It is the same as http://www.vrayrender.com/stuff/Manu...rials_pmap.htm except it covers almost everything...

Well, i have the link on docs section in Vray site, after login... But if it's the same that I've seen 2 months ago, so i think it deserves some improvement.
Ok, I've been on this forum since the very beggining, and think I can master Vray in most of its features, at least in the basic version. The problem is, as now at work wehave bought the advanced version, I am having some difficulty to dominate things like displacement and DR, and SSS sometimes is working, but sometimes not. Unfortunatly all the docs I've searched in vray.info or in its links didn't change it so much, EXCEPT the great tutorial by The Man Himself (Vlado) that helped me a lot, and now I can use Pmap without any problem. Thats what I would like to see covering other features of vray, also to understand more than empirically what the commands mean and why are they in this or that place...

Hope I've written in a clear manner, sorry if not, so should be because I'm tired, or because my terrible english, or maybe both...

                      Regards,

                      Joao.

                        Hey Keith,

                        Good to see you back

There's a scroll bar on the download page that you may not see unless your window is maximized.
