  • Too Blury shadows

Is it possible with VRay to have less blury shadows...
I m making test and i have always too blury shadows ...

I haven't find any shadows parameters.
For information, i'm using a VRayLight and i have only a check box with smooth surface shadow... thats all ???

Thanks for any information about this subject

    hi Mightor3d

check the size of your light! remember: the greater the lightsource is, more blurred shadows you will have!

      VRay Shadow

Hi and thanks for your answer

But with VrayLight the size modify the shadow AND the light diffusion...
So if i choose a smaller size, my scene is very dark and the light affect a small part of my scene...
Are the VRayLight so limited ?

Is it more eficient to use standart or photometric light with Vray shadow (where u can modify shadow parameters without changing light intensity) instead of VRaylight...

Are the VRaylights very used by VRay users ??

        hi
try unchecking ... Store with Irradiance map and turn the Subdivs to around 20 .. depending on the size of the light. that should give you sharper shadows.
