  • Resolution for web

What are you guys rendering out for the web? I tend to render things out a lot larger than I need too. Typically, I render out using this:

    11 X 300 = 3300
    8.5 x 300 = 2550

And, if I have a light scene I might double that. A job I am rendering out now is for the web, so should I use the same method, only drop my dpi to something like 96?

2500 and scale down. never work at native res for web, 2500 isnt very big and the workload will be the same. I actually find it much harder to work on images any smaller.

Okay. That's my logic, too. I usually render as large as time allows, but never use all of it and 100% of my people ask me to scale it down for them. I just wanted some confirmation

Right now a good resolution for web is 2048px, because that's the iPads native resolution in full screen mode.
It's also kind of a standard max res in social networks.
