- linear mapping won't add any filtering to your image....no light filtering that is
- HSV esponential will filter/reduce the bright areas of your image trying to help avoiding burnouts from overlighting....this way you can have more intense light w/ out blowing out parts of your scene...however it messes w/ your saturation...tends to desaturate the general image...
-exponential...haven't messed much w/ this one, but it does a similar thing to the HSV but w/ out the desaturation part.....actually sometimes the colors look more vivid whe using this one....
