I am trying to find out what exactly is being set when I choose MAX.vray for the default initial settings for tool options (Customize>Custom UI and defaults switcher>Initial setting for tool options
I thought it was just setting the renderer to V-Ray and populating the material browser with V-Ray materials, but even after setting both the production and active shader renderers to Scanline and setting all the material browser slots to standard materials, I still get warnings about missing V-Ray .dlr files when I try and open this saved file in a newer version of Max I have without V-Ray.
Is there a hook embedded somewhere else deep in the file that is calling for V-Ray?
