  • VrayToon as vector

Is it possible to save your VrayToon rendering as vector graphics for Illustrator?

I try to render out in high res and let Illustrator TRACE it, but with poor results.

Maybe adjust your illustrator settings? We sometimes trace pdf scanned plans and it works 90% of the time ok(ish)
    Kind Regards,

That would be worth an upgrade alone for me.

I'd also love to see it as a render element instead of just overtop always.

          Hi,

V-ray toon render element will be added at some point, but unfortunately can't give you more precise information for now.

Try to add an Atmosphere render element and adjust the background and V-ray toon color to black/white. Then try with the Illustrator's Tracer again.

I'm having somewhat similar case at the moment. I can't get clean enough rendering for Illustrator tracing. It's very simple geometry but I keep on getting tens of thousands paths as tracing result. Sometimes I get out of memory error messages, because the tracing is getting too complex. I have 96 GB of RAM. I wonder how much AI requires for simple tracing.

What would be the best practices for toon rendering, when the main goal is to get good tracing results?
