  • Vray :: exterior lighting/texturing issues

    Guys 'n Gals ,
    Got some major issues here, hopefullly someone will be kind enough to help me out.

    I recently installed VRAY and been trying to get it to work for an outdoor scene. The scene itself is not much , cuz I'm really just starting out in MAX.

    Look at attached scene and espescially at the marked 'power box' (such a thing that hangs against the wall where the power comes in)

    The power box textures make it look like it doesnt belong in the scene ... it doesnt blend in with the wall it is attached to ... ( am I making myself clear at all ? ;o)

    Scene specs :

    LIGHTING
    - sunsystem = 1 target direct, light yellow, m = 1, casting VRAY shadows
    - shadowcaster = 1 target spot , light yellow, m = 1, casting shadows through a shadow map and light is on (for extra sunny day effect )
    - VRAY environment parameters = light blue , m = 1,35

    POWER BOX TEXTURE
    - jpg texture in the diffuse slot (thats it)

    RENDERING
    - scene is rendered out in vray (do I need to give the rendersettings ? )

    here is the image

    I had some paint left so I threw it on

    please help me out ... :'/

      no, it's just a jpg as a texture in the diffuse slot and a quick bumpmap

      What I got on my desktop, and what I'm using as inspiration is thisone .. thats really the feeling I want to create ... (in my dreams )
