min shading rate

hi, want to ask about min shading rate and max subdiv on adaptive image sampler (again)

i know if we use dof from vray, we can raise the subdiv on the adaptive image sampler and control the min shading rate. what about if i dont use dof, just vray phys cam without any dof or moblur, if i raise the max subdiv, is it min shading rate still work ? because as far as i know that max subdiv also deviding the lighting and the material subdiv.

and what about the divide shading subdivs option below the min shading rate ? if i check it and i uncheck it, whats the different ?

Yes it will still work - it is not linked to VrayPhysicalCam.

Divide Shading Subdivs option force Vray to not divide material/lights and etc subdivisions by AA Max subdivisions. If that option is OFF you could increase AA Max subdivisions without affecting DMC rays subdivisions.
