  • Stereographic 360 panorama

    Is this possible?

I got this request from a client and just tried to see what happens, but it looks like the Stereoscopic Helper overrides the camerasettings FOV;360.
I already thought this would not be possible because of the offset. Can someone confirm this?

    * If there is another way to get the 3D effect in a 360 panorama i'm happy to know.

    Tnx

      Tnx for the link AlexP.
I understand making a 3D 360° panorama animation is a bit to much for now

Yeah... no easy way to render stereo panoramas. And with the release of DK2 and positional tracking, just rendering a pair of panoramas wont cut it either. I've already started to adjust my workflow and thought process to make it easier to bake and get assets into a game engine.

Have you had any success with this? Ive had a couple of goes at getting interiors into Cryengine but just couldnt quite get it to work well.

Didnt help that it was much more fun messing around with the physics in Cryengine rather than trying to do any work

I just started last week - the biggest change is having to attach a lot of objects I usually keep separated, and creating UVs that remove overlapping and fit cleanly in one tile. After that it should get easier..

UE4 has better tools for this and the materials are slightly easier to set up, you may have more luck there. they also have a great license setup now.

What tools does UE4 have that makes it better?

I had picked up a month of UE4, as well as a Unity3d trial. But I'm leaning towards Unity3d myself. Might be that I have peers that also use it, so it helps in solving problems.
