Has anybody created real nice wet pavement? Not puddles, but how they hose down a driveway before a photoshoot. i have been playing around, and i can't seem to capture it.

I could dig this file up and get you the material if it's what you are looking for...

Here you go, Bobby. The Material was set up originally for RT-GPU, so you may have to tweak it a bit for traditional Vray rendering (if that's what you are using) depending on your lighting and the type of biasing you are using. It's mostly a matter of balancing the reflection amount with the bump amount depending on your scene's lighting, etc...

The Asphalt map is somewhat dated as well - you probably have better ones to use...

        Hope it helps some,

This is sort of old, but might be a good starting place, too...

I have used the vray-materials.de texture before, but it is using an old color-correction plugin, and I didn't want to mess with it.

I need to work on the bump, or maybe some displacement.

it's never finished, but for now it's done. The architect requested wet pavement last minute, and he is in his client meeting as we speak. It is, what it is

                              Hey Bobby

To me you have 2 much reflection, plus you need more patchy glossy variation.
Have you done it as a coated material?

Just some quick very small refs
