  • render nodes and DR per frame or just render nodes - which is quicker ?

I have 10 render nodes. Will it be quicker sending the job as DR to one node or send per frame per node ? I'm assuming the latter because lightcache isn't fully DR/multi thread support...Can anyone confirm this ?

    Edit: Sorry, I'm using 2.4

my vote is a frame per node, if you're rendering a sequence.

frame per node only because if DR craps out you end up with dodgy squares on all the frames, rather than if one node craps out only some of the frames are ruined

DR can be faster in some scenes though.

DR is useful for still images, for animations it is always better to use node per frame.
