    Can vray be able to export that lighmapping info to lightmap images?

        i already knew this.

        what i didnt understand. was something other.

        Do you mean , if the new lightmapping info ( the enery info of the new renderalgorithm ? ) can be saved to lightmaps like you use it in games ore like texturebaking ?

        i don´t realy knew it, but i am sure this feature will work the same as usual i-maps when it comes to tb.

          you mean like they are used in game engines?

          im not a coder but i think it´s a different thing, even when the names are similiar.

            They are different things; I couldn't really think of a better name than "lightmap" since this is what it is - a representation of the lighting in scene, only it's in 3d and not in texture maps. The term "irradiance map" was already used for a different algorithm, although the two are quite similar. When it comes to texture baking, it doesn't matter what GI algorithm you use...
