Fly-through mode

After reading the help on fly-through am I correct in thinking that I select fly-through mode for lightcache. Select use camera path. I've set up primary to BF. Am I correct in thinking that I don't need to pre-render any frames as the light cache will calculate the LC on the first frame for the entire sequence with this setup ?

All that, except, I'd try Irradiance Map in your primary with it set to add incremental...but then maybe BF is fast enough these days, it doesn't matter. But I've used that add incremental setting in the irradiance map in the past (been a while since I've done a fly-through) and it worked awesome.
