  • Reduce Noise when using UNIVERSAL settings?

    Hi all

When using UNIVERSAL settings, is the only QUICK way to reduce noise, to lower the noise threshold?

I know there are other ways when you're NOT using universal, but in this case I want to know specific for universal.
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Depends on where the noise is coming from, but you can try increasing the min. shading rate in V-Ray 3

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      It seems mostly from GI
      (Vray 2.4)

Then you can try increasing the GI subdivs perhaps?

        Best regards,
        Vlado

I've got Global subdivs multiplier on 0 for this one ( min samples 8 )

For V-Ray 2.x the only way I think is to lower the Noise threshold value and force more camera rays to be traced.
As vlado mentioned above , in V-Ray 3.0 there is an option "Min Shading rate" which could help.
