  • Script to remotely restart spawner on all machines on network

Is this kind of thing possible?

We have a regular (10 times a day!) problem where after a DR job, some of the render nodes just sit there clogged up with RAM and don't reset ready for the next DR render. Only way to get them going again is to log into each one and restart the vrayspawner service.

Can this be done from a batch script (or something) from each of our workstations? So, for example, double clicking on a 'restart network spawner' script would restart 192.168.0.50, 192.168.0.51, 192.168.0.52 etc on our domain.
    Kind Regards,
    Richard Birket

I have one that does this yes (sort off)
We restart the entire farm (reboot) or an individual pc.

It's a batch script that I just double click

You could stop and start services remotely with 3rd party software, but I like to just reboot to be sure nothing is "stuck" anywhere. I have autologon on the farm enabled and spawner and bb server in the startup, but the script will also work if those were run as services.

I had the same problem and someone here on the forums pointed me to Refamo.
It´s just 100eur for 10 nodes. It´s worth every single cent.
