  • Hide vraydummy icon

    Hi everybody,

I would like to know if it's possible to totally hide the "vraydummy2014" icon in the main taskbar (win7) when launching the vray DR spawner ?
It starts minimize but the 3dsmax icon is still visible.

Is this possible to hide it ?
Maybe a secret option when launching it..

    Thx

So you can install it on coworker's machines and zap their processing power without them knowing?

      right!

but the idea is just to have the process ready to work for the night.
They close it at each startup...

I don't know but: Right Click Taskbar > Properties > Notification Area > Customize > Put behaviour on hide icon and notification?
          A.

If you run the spawner as a Windows service, then it will not show an icon in the taskbar.

              Best regards,

                Thx Vlado.

                It works.

But it only works if i register the service "as an administrator".
That's why i was looking for something else.

                But now it's ok.
                Thx very much

You should be able to register the service to run as any local user on the machine - in its Properties dialog, in the "Log on" tab.

                  Best regards,
                  Vlado
