Vray 3 Render Node on License Server

Hi - sorry for the dumb question: In Vray 3, can a license server be a render node at the same time? If so, what option do you use in the initial install? I tried workstation mode and it deletes any option to run the license server in the ChaosGroup menu

I had this problem too, I think you go into Chaos Group's website and under downloads there's license server. Grab that and install it over top of a vray render slave install.

Yes, the problem is that it will try to uninstall the render server part of V-Ray from the previous installation.

Thanks Svetlozar. I did try that, however this does not give you the ability to run Vray Spawners at the same time ("Distributed Rendering" won't be in the Chaos menu). As Brendan suggested, I installed as a render node first and then installed the stand-alone License Server utility over the top, and that did the trick. BTW the installer internet links don't work

I just checked all four download links (32/64bit) of the license server an they work fine. Can you give me more details about this problem? Do you get any errors ?
I see that you are located in Australia.

I just re-installed to check if those links worked - and they did. There must have been some network issues at my end during the previous install. Sorry about that
