adaptive subdiv & min shading rate. Are they linked?

Hi,

I was thinking that if the image sample "adaptive subdivision" doesn't divide samples, then may be "min shading rate" doesn't work in the same way as with Adaptive image sampler.

I'm assuming it does but the sensitivity of these values is much higher, correct?

And, I know I asked this before, but I didn't get an answer. So here it goes:

If Adaptive subdiv doesn't divide samples, how would the option "Divide shading subdivs" affect that particular type of image sampler?
