I came across this site recently which has photos of 3m slabs of stone which cou can download at reasonably high resolutions

Some are watermarked, others aren't.

There's actually a ton of high res slab photos available on google image search, the trick is using the correct term to search for them.

Instead of "black marble with white veins" try searching for something like "Black Marquina" or "Cosmic Black".
If you search for a stone with it's proper name you'll have much better luck.

The difficult thing is to find the actual names I guess here is one little list that might help - http://www.italianmarble.co.in/tag/n...alian-marbles/
