  • Body Object vs. Convert to Editable Poly?

I have a .sat file from a client that I just imported of a square entertainment cabinet. Each of the parts are "Body Objects". For this project all I'm doing is to apply VR materials to it. So with that, is there any reason for me to convert each part to an Editable Poly? Otherwise, I'm planning to add UVW mapping and go from there. Just wondered if there's any advantages to Body Objects as long as I don't plan to modify anything.

    Thanks.

With body objects you can add modifiers such as bend and it will bend nice and smooth. Where as with poly objects you are restricted to the number of edges you have. That said, selecting body objects in viewport is a pain in the butt!

If you change the display of the body object to 'mesh' it makes it much easier to select.

Excellent. Thank you both for the reply! I'll try that out.
