    I did try a higer IOR, but I didn't go that high. I did tell him that his example is what photographers might avoid, but he didn't care much to listen

                Hilarious! Now put a little tiger blood on in and you're good!

                I would take a reflection channel in photoshop, add it to your roofing, and use a soft brush on the mask to get what your client is looking for. Photoshop is always going to be the easiest way to satisfy these impossible requests.

                  OMG that was awesome lol!!!

                  but seriously maybe you could render out a pass of just the roof with like .65 glossiness and with a light at the right angle and just slap that on top of everything.
