I am testing V-Ray 3, and every time I close the render setup, it defaults back to the default settings. Why? Is this normal?

It would only reset the settings when you save the scene.

It might be easier for you to just request a full eval license for a limited time, seeing as how you already have a dongle.

It's a "feature" of the Demo which is removed in the Full version
