    Hi everyone,

I am in the never ending learning process of vray. I am doing a very basic interior room, no windows or openings where sun light can come through. Just 2x4 ceiling lights.

Any ideas on how to make this image more interesting, more depth and life to it. There is no post work to it yet. (Those are 2 lcd monitors behind the table)

The table itself is a glass top but its reflecting the ceiling right now so you cant tell its glass.

    Thanks all,

Maybe try different color temps in the lighting? Can there be light from behind the camera that is cooler, and the lights above a bit warmer? And push the intensity of the lcd monitors. Maybe also some sort of graphic behind the camera, an image of an interior or something to reflect on the signage/lcd frames and break that up a bit.

More detail/realism in the modelling of the floor/floortiles. Check Floorgenerator script. Also the texture of that 'marble' floor is too repeating, in combination with the floorgenerator you should create a few different textures. The legs of the table seem a little heavy, also the thickness of the table is too much.

        Thanks for the ideas guys.

Brendan I will try that for sure with the lighting. How would you suggest pushing the intensity of the lcd, in post or should I add a light to each?

Vizioen I was thinking of actually modeling the floor tiles. Where can I get that script from? Actually that's a carpet not a marble on the floor. Its hard to tell since the render is low rez.

        Thank you both
        Cheers

Is there a particular reason why you're doing that room? You'd have a hard job making an actual photograph of a room like that interesting/have depth.

Try and remove the tiling in your carpet texture, also try vray displacement to get a carpet feel, or vrayfur or forest pack if you have that at your disposal. http://www.cg-source.com/floorgenerator.php for the floor generator. The little raiser where the table sits on will probably be bordered with some kind of profile instead of the tile texture just continuing along the edge.
