    Hi all,

I am working away on this studio set and the one thing I cant seem to convey to the client is the white shinny reflective material that will be around the projecter screen and the brushed metal logos. Any ideas on how to get that to read better?

    Thanks!Click image for larger version

Reflective materials need something to actually reflect, so adding some environment would help.

      Vlado,

      What would you suggest?

The studio will probably not float into blackness in the real world, maybe try to model a bit more of the environment? There will also be projectors around the scene no doubt, so they will produce nice hilights and reflections off of reflective surfaces.

I have the seating in there but its just not showing anything. Can I do anything with the actual material?

A quick cheat could be to stick in an HDRI in the reflection override of the environment - something of an interior space with highlights

But to model will give best results

You should also look at other shiny talkshow and news sets and see if you can decipher what's being reflected in those.
