  • Grass Carpet

    Hello,

I need to make a Grass Carpet for an interior rendering...would this be a job for VrayFur? I have never used it.

Could anyone point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

if you're close up like this I don't think vray fur would hold up. But what you could do is model a few grass blades yourself and scatter them on an object with this free script for example: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/sc...timate-painter or even use pflow for scattering.
    Cheers,

Forestpack, multiscatter, vraypattern, can scatter vrayproxies. For instance Bertrand Benoit uses Forest Pack here to create a carpet: http://bertrand-benoit.com/blog/2011...g-forest-pack/

As there is not really much detail you could use vrayfur ofcourse, there are a lot of tutorials tackling this on youtube

Eric, I had this file hanging around from a test I did years ago using Vray Fur. I'll UL it if you like...

Oh yeah, I just noticed that in the file I sent you, I was working with a mono-colored fur. If you want the fur to look like the material included in the scene (which works very nice for grass and carpets with a design), just apply the material to the Vray Fur icon.
