  • VRay Frame Buffer

    Hello,

At State of Art Academy #5 it was shown to us that you could adjust the white balance and add a background in the VRay frame buffer. We are running the latest release and these options are not there.

Were they new features that will be added in a future release? I got the impression they were there to use already but can't find them!

    Cheers.

    Andy.

I have the controls visible all the time.......The only options are Exposure, Hue/Saturation, Color Balance, Levels, Curve, LUT, OCIO and ICC.

This sounds very interesting... I don't see any of those controls on my VFB here.

Ah! I don't recall Simeon saying they were features to come and wondered how I had missed them before. I assumed they were in the latest release as i hadn't installed it yet but after doing so was disappointed they weren't there.

Oh well! Can't wait for them.........they were very useful additions Alex! Especially adding in a different background in to the VFB. Great for testing a sky you want to use in post.

The WB control sounds extremely useful as well. Being able to save out warmer and cooler versions of images would be very good.

It was indeed a nifty feature! Hopefully this service pack will appear fairly swiftly, although a new version has just been released so it'll probably be a month or two away i'd expect.

I am looking for bold people to give that a go before the release; if you are interested, please email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com
