I'd also be interested to see if anybody knows of any resources but I imagine it would be quite a task to prepare a texture like this (presumably to suit an unwrapped box as the edges should match) - so I don't think much exists.
I have played around with UV mapping in the past to try and fake the end grain - I've attached a quick example with a simple diffuse texture - unwrapping the box and then distorting the UV vertices on the 'end grain' and bringing the detached edges together to get continuity.
I know it doesn't look brilliant by any stretch of the imagination but it's at least something you can do using a more commonly available wood grain texture. It could possibly be improved by spending a bit more tome on manipulating the vertices but I guess there's a limit.
