how to cast shadows from vray light?

yes it casts shadows by default......you can tweak however the size of the area that casts shadows to get more diffuse/soft shadows...or more crisp ones...

when we put a rectangular vraylight to a window for an interior, the size of the light is the size of the window. so when you say tweaking the size, you talk about sphere ones but not the rectangular ones-am I right?

i mean you can play w/ the UV size.......plus the subdv for quality/detail of the shadows.
