  • Render region using VRIMG file and 'generate preview'

Is it possible to render only a region of an image when saving the file to a VRIMG file and only showing the preview frame buffer? Obviously I can use the Max controls for rendering regions, but what about the vray region render box?

<Mmm. It appears not. I get an error message)

In VRay 3 use the new render masks. Select the stuff you want to render and in the mask set it to "selected" You can also a bitmap
    The "selected" is VERY USEFUL

Yes, we use that sometimes. I was just surprised to see an 'ERROR' when having the region are option enabled. We often want to render a specific region rather than a specific object. I guess we will just use the max region render settings as we used to.

I don't think this specific case is supported (no memory frame buffer and VFB region render).

        Best regards,
