  • secondary matte environment

Hi all and dear chaosgroup people.

Any chance to explain the new feature? (secondary matte environment)

This is a environment override image which be taken into account when a secondary ray hits matte surface.
So for example if a reflection ray hits matte surface it will then use the information from Secondary Matte Environment slot instead the one in Environment Map.
    And here an example image:

Sometimes you need to render the scene against a black background, but you still want some environment to be projected on matte objects visible in reflections/refractions.

      Best regards,
