In my history, I have a thumbnail, resolution, and time. How do I know what settings were used to get those images and times? I mean, isn't that the point? If I have 10 thumbnails I quickly forget what recipe I used to do it.

Yeah, true. Have a look at how Krakatoa handles this. Really cool to be able to load settings from old renders. -
