I have a scene that is odd. In my scene I have four houses, all with the same types of materials, and four cameras. I'm using the same settings for each view and each view is showing basically the same thing, just in a different perspective. However, the last view is taking about twice as long as the first three. What can cause this? It's almost like the pipes get clogged. I don't know, do people reboot MAX to clean things up. I have seen scrips that clear image cache.

Do you have any overlapping faces, or have the visibility channel set to something other than 1.0? Those can make renders crawl.

Also, perhaps clone one of the working cameras and reposition it in a similar view to the slow one. See if this is slow as well. If so, it is in the geometry. If not, then it's the camera.. ??

Mad as hell! Hit render and ran out for a few hours. Came home and found this! Sitting in the same spot for two hours. I already rebuilt the roof and cloned the camera.

              What is a visibility channel?

I mean the visibility track... Like the visibilty setting in the object properties.

                http://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppor...DB92D-htm.html

If you try to use that to cross dissolve between two objects it can be very slow at times.

Would it be possible to send us the scene for investigation?
You can simplify the scene by removing unnecessary geometry but make sure that the issue is still there.
