  • Volume Caustics?

    normaly I am just a reader in the forum but one question burns under my fingernails

    ( if / when ) supports vray volume caustics like MR / FR do

    found nothing in the forum history just a wish list from 09/2003

    something new about

    have you ever had use for volume caustics?

    would love to see a few images with volume caustics, except demo scenes.

      sadly volume caustics are not supported by vray.

      Maybe in the future they will

          Scanline is probably a better choice for volume caustics. If you have something like Photoshop it's not too hard to render your scene with VRay and then just render the volume caustics with scanline to comp together later.

              MR ray has them built in, just comp the caustics in AE or your compositor of choice. not everything has to be done in camera, it's what seperate the big guys from the little guys, compositing....
              Two heads are better than one ...
              ....but some head is better than none.....

                  It should first support volume lights before it can support volume caustics...
