  • VFB pixel information question

Hi all, beside of the embree, i have a second question here, i guess all vray user know about the VFB pixel information dialog,

    1) may i know why we have to read the information?

    2) is it mean we have to always keep the brightest pixel below 1.0 float point? if yes, there are 3 number (example: 0.983, 0.590, 0.471) which one should we keep it below 1.0 float point?

    3) what is it actually help in our 3d rendering with playing with this?

    Regards,
    Jackie

    1) So you know what is going on in your scene.

    2) The 3 numbers are RGB.

    3) If you understand your scene then you can control and produce the results you want.

      Thanks for reply.

Now i now the 3 number is RGB, but do we have to keep it lower than float 1.0 ??

V-Ray renders in full 32 bit floats, so the RGB values can be arbitrary (so it is perfectly fine above 1). The possibility to have values above 1 is useful for example if you want to do any specific post-processing.
