  • 2 Instances of VrayRT?

Is it possible to have Vray RT running in 2 different sessions of Max? I often move between projects quickly and need to look at different things simultaneously but it seems as though I can only have 1 instance of RT running. In order to launch it in another instance of Max that I have open I have to close the RT window and then launch it in the other instance of Max.

Right now it can be done if you change the port numbers, but it's a bit of a hassle. I'm hoping for one of the next service packs to let the rendering happen inside 3ds Max, without the need of an external server (unless you want to do DR of course). This would also make things snappier in general.

    Best regards,

Thanks. I will give that a try.

If I were going to go complete wishlist it would be cool to have to have 2 separate RT windows with different cameras in the same instance of Max.
