  • how can i move the 'ground' of an HDR

    Hi,

I have an hdr loaded into a vray dome light and want to reposition the 'ground'

It is a an hdr of a road, but the dome was captured on the side of the road. I am rendering a car so the 'ground' needs to be centered.

Is there a way to do this in vray? I have tried the Ground Projection and Crop/Place parameters to no avail, the ground projection helped some but only the radius seemed to have an effect on anything.

Also the Crop/Place didn't change anything.

Anyone have a solution for this or any workarounds?

    Hi,

For this case you may need to model a rough version of the environment and apply the HDRI map using the spherical mapping property.
