ok, office floor view.. shiny metal floor.
i need the background black for comping, so i put the hdr in the reflection/refraction override slot.
so far so good.
now however its still visible because im looking through glass, and so its showing in refractions.
so, i put a black colour in the refraction override slot.
now i have a nice black background.
HOWEVER
now im getting no nice sky refs on my metal floor. seems that since the sky is not showing up in the glass refractions, its also not showing up in the floor reflections, since they are coming through the glass before reflecting off the floor.
im now rendering with the glass hidden, but it would be nice to know how to resolve this issue in the render. how to stop environment showing in glass refraction, whilst also being transmitted thru glass to slow in reflections within?
make sense? clear as mud?
