    Hi All,

I am looking for a little direction on how best to light this particular project. Its a exhibit booth. Looking for a nice even, bright lighting solution but also something to display reflections and shiny materials.

Right now I am using a vray light as dome along with GI environment set at 3.0

    Thanks!

Since it is not very clear what exactly you are after I would suggest you to provide some image examples. This way it will be easy to provide answers.
But generally you can try setting few long and tin rectangular lights on top of the booth and move them around until you get some sharp reflections here and there. Also with this particular example it will be very conveniently and faster to use VRayRT GPU as a preview render in order to see immediate result and have a better understanding of the lighting when modifying the scene.

      Thanks Zdravko,

I will def try using the RT for setup.
I don't really want to copy the actual environment where this is going on since its sort of dark and gloomy. Bad down lighting in the space. I really want get an overall ,bright ,even lighting of the space.

I will post updates as I go.

      Thanks

I would consider trying to light it like actual booth at a trade show, with lots of smaller spotlights with falloff. Then some overall fill from a dome light. It would be cool to see the practical lights in the rendering if that works the assignment.

These would be down lights along the walls (Warmer), like on trusses overhead perhaps? I would think more pools of light, with the fill just to keep things visible.

Of course if you need to show things in a more flat light then I would look at some ambient occlusion to separate thingsa dn give them some depth.
