  • It is possible to save GI when render is running on bacburner ??

    Hi

I want to save heavy Gi calculation (24h+) when job is already running from backburner. I need to make some changes in image sampler to shortern render time and I want to use already calculated GI. It is possible ?

    This is not possible unfortunately.
The only way to save the IM/LC maps from BB is to set autosave option from IM/LC rollouts before sending the job to BB.

24+ hours are way too much for GI calculation - are you rendering a single frame or animation?

      thanks for the reply

I already stop render and run one more time with more optimized settings I hope. And this time I set autosave for GI.

It is single frame but with too heavy light settings. I thought that weekend will be long enough to complete render

Did you think to add DR settings to the frame buffer ?? So you can add another slave pc to the render on the go ?

        Hello,

"Did you think to add DR settings to the frame buffer ?? So you can add another slave pc to the render on the go ?" - we already have it in the nightly builds.

        Best regards,
