  • Store with Irradiance Map for lights

I usually don't have the luxury of using a render farm, so I often use this function to save a lot of time on renders, however there's one thing I'm curious about.
The renders come out almost identical, except for the highlights of the lights in question.

The first image is BF/Light Cache, and the second is Irrmap/Light Cache. Other than some slight differences in the corners the pictures are very similar, except for the blurry reflection of the light.
I am guessing this is because the light behaves differently when stored in the irradiance map, but is there any way to avoid that? The differences in render time is gigantic.

If you store lights with the Irradiance Map, you gain render speed but lose specular reflections. You can verify this by enabling the VraySpecular Render Element and compare renders. That's the way it is, I'm afraid.
