Are "Caustics subdivs" animatable?

I have a scene were the camera has very different distances to
the scene caustics. So I wanted to animate Lights Settings/Caustics
subdivs, but it's doesn't seem to be animatable, neither directly or
via Trackview.

Any tricks (scripting maybe) to animate it?

The caustic subdivs are a User property of the light nodes; you can write a script to change them from frame to frame.

Vlado, thanks for your answer ...

I would like to wire VRay_Caustics_Subdivs to the radius of
a sphere or something ... I would know how to do this for
a frame, but I don't know, how a script get's updated/called
while rendering an animation ... I'm just the typical "Macro Recorder
Scripter"
