V-Ray Standalone and Backburner

I recently contacted support concerning the use of V-Ray Standalone and render management software.

They said that the Standalone is compatible with pretty much everything EXCEPT Backburner.

Has this changed recently? Are there plans for this to change?

We haven't really looked into it. I don't even know if it's technically possible. I know that backburner allows to create custom jobs, but I've never used them.

It would be nice if it did work since Backburner comes with most Autodesk products and it runs on Linux as well as Windows.
