This was asked in an earlier thread but I think you can use the max6 version of V-Ray for Viz 2005. Search the forum for more info.

I have a question related to the VIZ 2005. In my work, most of the 3D modelling occurs in ADT (Architectural Desktop 2004, buildings and stuff), which comes together with Autodesk VIZ Render, which, according to the Autodesk, is a simplified version of 3D Studio VIZ, containing only the VIZ render engine.
Is there any way, to have Vray installed with VIZ Render and have it fully operational as it is with 3DS VIZ and MAX. Has any of you had a try with this, yet?......Does it work with VIZ Render?....
I do not really need such a complicated software as 3DS VIZ and MAX installed on my PC, after all, since I use only its rendering capabilities.
