This has become regular enough for me to post about it..
When I go to render high res. I tend to to start with a visible GI calculation just to re-size the frame buffer and provide me enough information to select regions I am interested in testing.
So, I regularly stop the GI calculation part way through, and the problem is that it regularly just hangs, the frame buffer is unresponsive and I have to restart max. Which is annoying when I lose some work.
I am using vray 3.1002 for Max with distribution turned on.
I have spoken to colleagues who also say they experience the same thing, and it is better to press the stop button in the frame buffer, whereas I tend to press escape.
Anyone else experiencing this?
