I know, probably a stupid question, but how do you save all your GI variables to a file to load later? I'm always tweaking my Indirect Illumination settings and would love to load certain settings from a file.

    Thanks,

Get all the settings the way you like them and then save the file as maxstart.max in the scenes directory. This file will load as default every time with your saved vray settings.

I think the magic button you're looking for is in the prest rollout of the main render menu, where you can choose to save either every parameters of your render menu or just the vray ones...

In max6 there is a render preset dropdown box that works for all renderers at the bottom of the render dialogue. Very handy when you need to switch renderers on the fly with different settings
