  • Exclude objects from LightMtl?

    Is there a way to exclude objects from something that's using LightMtl as a light source, much like you can exclude objects from a Vray light?

    No; you'll have to make those into an actual mesh VRayLight.

      But is it possible to make a circular mesh VRayLight in 2.4?

        Sure. Just create a circle spline convert it to editable poly and make it a mesh light.

          You lost me at "make it a mesh light". I think that can be done in VRay object properties, but you still can't exclude anything.

            Create Light -> Vray Mesh Light
            Scroll down in your modifier panel with the light selected and find the pick mesh button
            Select the previously created mesh (in your case the circular object)
