  • I don't want 3dsMax to save when I render.

Moved to a new computer and I'm noticing it saves the file everytime I render. I'm using big files so it takes a couple minutes every time to save. Wasting a lot of my time. Probably not a Vray question, but how do I stop 3dsMax from saving when I render?
    Dell Workstation - Max2013 - Vray 2.3

    Thanks - Chris

Do you use DR? V-Ray needs to save the file when doing DR so that it can send it to render servers.

    Best regards,

Yes, it's DR. Seems like it is saving more often and taking longer with the new computer. IDK, will troubleshoot, maybe the server is getting slower. Thanks for identifying the problem though Vlado!

Reference out your geometry using VRayProxies or XRefs. This will speed it up a lot!
